Question

Game updated overnight and Status went RED. Is that normal, and does spam-loading fix it?

These notes answer the question using the product page, Status page, and support rules. They are not posts from forum members.

Note 1
Patch day can move the label to RED while the vendor rebuilds. That is expected, not a broken PC by itself.
Note 2
Do not load the previous file while RED. Re-loading the same build does not turn the label green faster.
Note 3
Update NBA 2K26 through your launcher first so the client matches live servers. Game update and menu Status are related but not the same ticket.

The editorial after-patch blog walks the sequence. This thread is the narrow Status-only rule: RED means wait.
